Company Connecting has published a great number of articles and videos on Cyber Security which reflect the many different facets of security today.
Our infographic provides a summary of the type of information we hold at Company Connecting. IT companies with Cyber Security skills tend to be larger than average: 52% have more than 20 employees. Our CC average is 38% so there are substantially more large companies.
The top three sectors for Cyber Security skills are: Financial Services, Government and Healthcare – so all ‘big’ sectors with large corporations and organisations.
The Top focus areas are: Security, Risk Management and Information Security and the top skills are Security, Security Audit and Security Policies. Software development features much lower down this list than in infographics we have published on other areas of tech.
Company Connecting have categorised all the IT companies in Scotland and have made a start on the rest of the UK. In our current dataset the top three cities are: Cambridge, London and Edinburgh. Company Connecting data shows an imbalance between the Cyber Security skills in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK i.e. fewer companies in Scotland %wise have cyber security skills than in the rest of the UK. It is possible this is skewed according to the types of companies that have registered with us. However, it is an indication that needs to be researched further.
