First class honours MSc Interactive Media graduate, relocating to Aberdeen in September 2018, looking for a start in the software/application development world.
I am a recent graduate of an MSc in Interactive Media (MScIM) from University College Cork, Ireland, having finished my thesis in October of last year, and am now moving on to the next stage of my journey with a move to Aberdeen in September.
Starting out with a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2016, I transitioned to computer science as I found programming and coding to be where I was most able to utilise my technical skills and follow my passions. Having the analytical and problem-solving background from engineering helped improve my programming skills tremendously, and I began to study a number of programming languages and development environments both inside and outside of college.
In addition to my technical programming skills - which I continually try to improve through online courses and personal projects - I also feel I have excellent communication and teamwork skills, gained from both my college career and from my experience in industry. Was asked by the University to remain for a number of months as a lab demonstrator/teaching assistant for the next group of students undertaking the MScIM.
Some of my skills include:
I would relish the opportunity to join a company in a graduate/junior position in software development, and to improve my knowledge and skills; I am always interested in challenging myself and learning new things. If any of the above interests you, or if you feel I may be a good fit for your company, please contact me, and I would be delighted to send you my CV, or even just have a chat.
If you wish, you can also check out my LinkedIn account, and also my GitHub account, which I am in the process of updating, to see some of the personal and college projects and assignments I have done.
