ODI Aberdeen is hosting GIS / Mapping fact-finding workshop in Aberdeen

ODI Aberdeen will be hosting GIS / Mapping fact-finding workshop in  Aberdeen (probably p.m. on 22nd February).

Following the announcement that the UK government intends to form a Geospatial Commission, a Cabinet Office team is currently exploring options for making MasterMap data open freely to UK-based small businesses in particular.

As part of that work Cabinet Office are keen to engage with small businesses, startups and other data users who can help provide insight into the challenges faced with using OS MasterMap in its current form and in its current licensing scheme.

In collaboration with the Cabinet Office team, the ODI are running workshops with its partners across the node network to help facilitate this engagement and ensure that a diverse range of opinions and needs are captured. We are interested in capturing feedback from all sectors. More details to follow. If you are interested in attending please contact ian@codethecity.co.uk
