Summary

We are currently seeking to recruit a Data Engineer to contribute to data analytics project delivery which ensures consistent implementation of analytical methodologies and development of general and bespoke solutions to the asset integrity management field. The successful candidate can expect their role to be hands-on and will be required to assist with operationalising data analytics projects, as well as advising on future analytics tools development. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Deliver data analytics projects.
  • Provide data-specific support to engineering teams.
  • Support in-house development of data-related analytics tools.
  • Liaise with clients to understand and support their needs for successful delivery of the relevant project.
  • Assist with big data cleansing exercises.
  • Identification of trends within big data and create insights reports.

 

Reporting & Compliance

  • Correctly adhere to the Company Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Comply with all IMRANDD reporting requirements.
  • Understand and comply with any project specific client-side reporting as required from time to time.
  • Implement where necessary, appropriate levels of reporting and control to provide the information necessary to deliver work undertaken.

QHSE

  • Contribute to IMRANDD QHSE policies.
  • Ensure all QHSE policies and regulations within service delivery are maintained and regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure that all business is conducted in compliance with IMRANDD legal policies and standards.

 

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Data Engineering: Minimum 2 years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas production process or integrity management.
  • Qualification in Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field.
  • Adaptable, quick to learn, and proactive.
  • Programming languages: Adaptability is key. Familiarity with python and C# are preferable.
  • The ability to work unsupervised in an effective manner, maintaining good work prioritisation and time management across multiple tasks.

 

Additional Skills/Requirements

  • Qualification in Engineering or related field.
  • Algorithm optimisation.
  • Familiarity with data modelling. Any practical experience is a positive.
  • Software Design experience preferred.
  • Databases experience preferred. Experience with timeseries data is a positive.
  • Programmatic interaction with MS office and PDF documents.
  • Batch text processing and regex.
