  CC's latest infographic compares Edinburgh & Cambridge: very old cities that have adapted and grown into technological hubs within the UK.

We completed our research on IT companies registered in the Cambridge / ‘CB’ post code in June this year.  We have 521 companies in the area on Company Connecting. This represents about 15% of the companies on our database.

We interviewed Finn Grimwood to get an idea of IT in Cambridge and the Silicon Fen area.

Silicon Fen is the area around Cambridge which has a cluster of high tech businesses. In our accompanying infographic which we will publish later this week we provide insights into the 521 IT companies we have on our database in the ‘Silicon Fen’ area. ARM is one of the massive success stories from the Cambridge area having created IP which 60% of the people in the world  come into contact with on a daily basis.

This interactive map accompanies our infographic of IT companies with Cyber Security skills on Company Connecting. We have completed the research on companies in Scotland and Cambridgeshire. The top cities are Cambridge, London, Glasgow and Edinburgh. We continue with the research and at the same time companies are registering to update their company profiles, and use the search facility.

 We have completed  our research into IT companies in the CB post code area. This includes Cambridgeshire, parts of West Suffolk, and North West Essex. We have identified and added details of 491 IT companies in this area. Out of the 491 companies, 358 are in Cambridge itself. Ely, Saffron Walden and Newmarket also have clusters of IT companies

This interactive map accompanies our infographic of all 3,300+ IT companies on Company Connecting. We have completed the research on companies in Scotland and Cambridgeshire. We continue with the research and at the same time companies are registering to update their company profiles, and use the search facility. As you will see from our map, we  have companies throughout the rest of the UK - from Shetland to Kent and Devon.

We have researched more than 10,000 companies to get the information on the 3,300+ companies we have on our Company Connecting database. We completed the research on the Scottish IT companies some time ago. Recently we have concentrated on the Cambridgeshire area, and at the same time IT companies from elsewhere in the UK and overseas have registered and updated their company profiles.
