Company Connecting 2024 Infographic Series

In 2021 we published an infographic on 645 Edinburgh Technology companies. We continually update our information and have added all the companies up to December 2022. (We have to give companies time to get established).

The latest infographic provides information on 609 technology companies in the City of Edinburgh Council area. The reduction in numbers reflects the number of companies that have been dissolved in the past few years.

More Infographics

There have been some interesting changes:

Aritficial Intelligence is now in the top three skills.
The age of companies has increased considerably. In 2024 56% of the companies are older than 10 years, whereas in 2019 the figure was 44%.
Company SIze has remained relatively stable. We may dig into this further in the future. It's important to understand if companies are 'growing' in other ways.
All forms of online marketing are important with a considerable number of companies having a focus on E-commerce, Digital Marketing and Online Shops.

Technology Companies in Scotland

We have the most detailed database of Scottish Tech and IT companies. We want to promote Scottish tech and allow companies to find each other as we see collaboration between businesses as one of the most important areas for any company.

We have added all the Scottish companies registered up to December 2022. We have made a start on the 2023 companies . There are 2,462 Scottish technology companies with a website and a further 1,175 companies that have been dissolved in the past eight years. We will continue to review and update the companies on our database.
