NHS Highland promotes expansion of Scottish healthcare firms into Europe

NHS Highland are holding a conference in Inverness next month with the aim of helping Scottish healthcare firms attain international business development and trading opportunities with similar organisations in countries around the North Sea.

The health board is inviting SMEs to Inverness to brief them about a trade visit to the Netherlands in the last week of September, with the potential of financial support from the Scottish development agencies.

The preparation meeting will be held on Thursday 8th June 2017 in the Centre for Health Science in Inverness, running from 9.30am to 1pm. This meeting will provide information on the potential and inhibitions that exist in The Netherlands’ healthcare economy, but will also explain the main themes of the business visits included in the trip. These themes will be: Digital Health, Imagining, Domotica, Lifestyle as a medicine, Medical Devices and Big Data for Health.

Contact Donna Patience on 01463 255090 or email: donna.patience@nhs.net to book your place on the preparation event or to make enquiries. The deadline for expressing an interest in attending the conference in Inverness is 12.00pm on Monday 5th June 2017.
