Companiy Connecting has 78 Scottish IT companies on its database working within or providing products and services to the Games Sector in Scotland.

Dundee City has the largest number of games companies with 23% of the companies based in the council area. Dundee City accounts 2.74% of the Scottish populations, so there is a high density of games based companies.

Continuing with our series of Company Connecting infographics, our infographic this week covers a number of related areas i.e. IT companies working in Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, 3D, Animation, GIS, 3D Visualisation and Graphics. Out of our database of 3,400+ companies there are 226 working in these specialist areas.

Our Infographic this week is IT companies in Stirlingshire & Fife. The main centres are Stirling, Falkirk and Dunfermline, but there are many companies scattered throughout the region. Once again Software development is the top skill (64 companies). Companies tend to be relatively small with 70% having less than 10 employees.

Our infographic summarises the size, skills, sectors and focal areas for IT companies in Dundee City and Angus. The majority of the companies are in Dundee, but there are a few in Montrose and Forfar too.

There is a very strong focus on Games in the area. Oil & Gas comes second. For the first time we see Comics appearing -  reflecting Dundee's heritage with the Beano and Dundee as well as journalism.

Games comes top. Which area of Scotland is the subject of this weeks infographic?

The Dundee area is this week's Company Connecting infographic on IT companies. There are 95 companies working in IT of which 74% have less than 20 employees. It's no surprise that Games is the top sector. The Oil & Gas sector comes next reflecting Dundee's proximity to Aberdeen. Once again...

Our Inverness infographic summarises the size, skills, sectors and focal areas for IT companies in and around the Inverness area. Once again Software Development comes out as the top skill (28 companies). Sizewise, 65% of companies have less than 10 employees. The top three sectors that IT companies provides services to are: Healthcare, Games and Oil & Gas.
